Christian Olarte is a fashion designer, illustrator and design consultant. His hyper-femme, dark, high-gloss visual world stems from a fascination with exaggerated beauty ideals, body modification and a pursuit of empowered femininity. In his work he aims to explore his own relationship with such topics and marry glamour with grit. Christian’s design process aims to find intersections in the facets of his identity. This collection explores the brooding process of transformation and the tension between suppression and freedom.
