"Entwined Essence" explores the fragile yet powerful bond between humanity and nature through metamorphosis, envisioning a world where both transform and evolve as one. Drawing inspiration from natural metamorphoses such as the transformation of butterfly wings and the erosion of canyons, the collection captures the delicate tension between fragility and structure.
Sculptural silhouettes echo organic formations, while voluminous, cocoon-like shapes suggest a process of emotional rebirth. Through textured materials and earthy tones, Entwined Essence weaves a visual narrative of symbiosis, where human form and natural elements become indistinguishable.
Each garment acts as a vessel of transformation, challenging the boundaries between the manmade and the organic. At its core, the collection is a poetic meditation on renewal and coexistence, inviting viewers to reflect on the healing power of nature and the beauty of evolving in harmony with it. Entwined Essence is not just fashion. It is a quiet dialogue between the earth and the human soul, stitched into form.

Bio
Dahye Bae views the body as a vessel in constant metamorphosis — torn between strength and fragility, structure and softness, humanity and nature. Her work is rooted in emotional rebirth, using design as a language to express the quiet resilience that forms in moments of vulnerability. In her thesis collection, Entwined Essence, she draws from the natural world — canyon erosion, butterfly wings, and weathered textures — to reimagine the human form as an extension of nature’s ever-evolving terrain.
Through voluminous silhouettes, sculptural surfaces, and tactile experimentation, she constructs garments that speak to a deeper coexistence between the internal and external, the emotional and the environmental. Dahye believes that fashion is not just adornment, but a medium for transformation — a soft armor through which we confront pain, find healing, and ultimately reconnect with what it means to be alive.
