“Designing a World Without Cages”

Inspired by Walter. Powered by Neurodiversity.

A DIFFERENT LENS

Walter was diagnosed with autism at the age of two. Growing up with him didn’t just shape my childhood—it rewired how I see the world. While others saw limitations, I saw a mind dancing in colors and patterns no one else could grasp. His joy wasn’t loud, but it was profound. His silence wasn’t emptiness—it was depth.
Being raised alongside Walter taught me empathy without condition. He doesn’t judge, he doesn’t mask, he doesn’t shrink to fit. Living with him showed me that “normal” is a concept built for convenience, not compassion. And once you see that, it’s impossible to unsee.

HIS WORLD, MY MISSION

Walter doesn’t fit into the world’s boxes and never should. He taught me that difference isn’t a flaw—it’s a form of genius. This work is my way of making sure the world finally sees it, too.

Bio

Fashion as a Bridge Between Worlds

My brother Walter sees the world in colors and shapes most of us can’t even imagine. His paintings: wild, free, bursting with life, are doorways to a mind without boundaries, where judgment doesn’t exist and chaos is beautiful. That’s the world I want to bring into ours.

I’m a designer with a psychology degree, yes, but first and foremost, I’m Walter’s sister. His autism isn’t just my "inspiration": It’s my fire. The fashion industry talks about inclusion but still treats neurodiversity like a trend. I’m here to burn that script. Every piece I create carries Walter’s spirit: adaptive details hidden in plain sight, textures that calm anxious hands, tags that educate instead of just labeling. Because people like him shouldn’t have to shrink to fit into society. Instead society needs to expand to hold them.

I’ve spent years studying child development and cognitive psychology not to "fix" minds like Walter’s, but to translate their brilliance. His paintings taught me that "normal" is a cage. My mission? Smash it open, stitch the pieces into something better, and dress the world in what freedom really looks like.

In this world, differences are fully embraced with open arms, and empathy is woven intricately into the fabric of our interactions, forming the cornerstone of a society where every individual, regardless of their background or challenges, is valued and understood. All this through a collection that celebrates–not alienates–those with mental health disorders by including educational tags with each garment, shedding light on mental health issues, and providing guidance on interactions. This transformative journey is not just a personal endeavor but a commitment to building a brighter, more inclusive future for all.

About Me

I’m a Mexican fashion designer with a relentless creative drive, deeply inspired by my brother, whose autism has shaped my perspective on artistry and inclusivity. My background in psychology and child development informs my design ethos—where fashion becomes a language of empathy, self-expression, and connection. Every collection I create is a celebration of individuality, blending bold aesthetics with subtle nods to mental health awareness. Through texture, color, and form, I aim to spark conversations, challenge norms, and craft wearable art that feels as meaningful as it looks.
