Imagema explores the tension between tradition and modernity. Rooted in Argentine heritage and guided by the photographic methodologies of Horacio Coppola, the collection reconstructs traditional forms through rigorous technical processes—smocking, embroidery, print development—treating craftsmanship as a mode of inquiry. Framing reality with precision reveals an illuminated realism that finds the strange within the ordinary. Imagema subverts the past into the present— not as a rupture but as an evolution.
Moving from 3D to 2D and back, questioning what is lost and preserved in translation.Each piece is a study in form and surface, translating archival photographs of Buenos Aires into contemporary silhouettes.Inspired by gaucho clothing, Imagema is a contemporary expression of modern folklore, where surreal fashion interplays with reality.Imagema is not about preserving tradition in a neat glass box, but about understanding it deeply enough to break it open and build something new.

Image: Oversized jacket fully embellished with over 6,000 hand-placed chicken feathers. Each feather is individually trimmed and placed onto the garment create a textured, layered surface.

The eggshells, sourced from Café Gitane's waste produce in NY, are individually cleaned, sanitized, coated in resin, and left to cure for 72 hours.
