Julia Colet

Julia is an NYC-based multidisciplinary designer with a focus on organic textile experimentation and movement-driven design. Her practice centers on slow, intentional processes—most notably, freeform draping and meticulous hand-sewing techniques that honor the rhythm of the body and the material alike. Rooted in a deep sensitivity to touch and texture, Julia approaches fabric as a living medium, allowing its natural behavior to guide form and flow. Her work is an exploration of how garments can move with, not against, the body—shaped through quiet acts of making and an ongoing dialogue between structure and softness.
