Kathryn Lee

Kathryn Lee is a designer based in New York and Hong Kong who focuses on storytelling. She loves the process of bringing an idea to life, and she’s captivated by contrasts—combining transparency and opacity or balancing the structure of harsher fabrics like leather or denim with the softness of fabrics like lace. Her focus on women’s wear is influenced by nature, anatomy, fairytales, and the cultural traditions of China and Hong Kong. These influences, along with the strong impact of Lee’s mother, who is her biggest inspiration, and her personal experiences, shape the way she approaches each collection. Lee aims to create pieces that not only reflect her personal journey but also resonate with the wearer. Through this, she hopes to design garments that empower, inspire, and connect.​
