INTRODUCTION

I am a multi-disciplinary artist who fashions a world through costume, product, and illustration. The art that I design is created to inspire play and imagination in people of all ages. I aim to challenge the belief that fashion design can only take a single form. Fashion to me is a lifestyle, a way of being— in this world, or any other of my creation.
My life’s mission is to leave behind a space in which people have the courage to dream. To dream up a world for themselves more beautiful than the one they were given.

All elements of my creation harmonize to fashion my world, known as, Ocellus.

CREATIVITY

Creativity is tackled through the challenge of my own beliefs about fashion. Through puppetry, stop-motion, and film— I have learned that the medium in which fashion can be explored is boundless and limitless.

IDENTITY

Identity is created through the physical manifestation of an original character within my universe. Linh is a lonesome matron o f an orphanage. At the orphanage, she collects baby orphans to nurture and protect. Linh’s motives for her peculiar behaviors remain a mystery to this day. I have embodied this character through traditional costume design.
I view each of my costume creations as a beautiful creature, whom I intend to capture the magnificence of by needle and thread.

PLAY

I explore the act of play through a custom chess set.
It is composed of modular wooden blocks, a space in which the player can customize their own battleground. The chess pieces have taken on a new form of character that exist within my world, allowing the player to play as a new identity.

IMAGINATION

To build a space that encourages imagination, I have created an illustrated children’s book.
It is a tale about an underestimated bunny who breaks free from the cage that he was once captured in. No matter how small or cute a bunny may seem, never underestimate his capacity for power and fury.
