Collection

ephemeral you

My collection is a reflection of memory’s impermanence alongside the quiet beauty of human connection. Like ink pressed into paper, my work seeks to preserve fleeting moments while weaving relationships into form. Throughout my life, I have written hundreds of letters to penpals. Inspired by the anonymity of letter writing, I create garments that feel both intimate yet distant.
Silhouettes move away or towards the body, with interwoven textures echoing the bonds we form and lose. Every stitch and detail carries the weight of something once meaningful, just like how ephemeral connections transform into nothingness yet leave their mark on our minds long after they fade.

Bio

Rochelle Yuan is an emerging fashion designer currently based in New York City. Her designs blend bold silhouettes with playful and considered details, using techniques such as dye sublimation and laser cutting to express narrative depth. She focuses on creating garments that explore how memory and storytelling can be preserved through clothing.

Rochelle has gained valuable experience at distinguished fashion houses including Altuzarra and Proenza Schouler, where she developed her skills in both couture and ready-to-wear. She sees fashion as a microcosm of lived experience—a space where identity and sentiment are reimagined through material form.
