Ruoxi Wang

Ruoxi Wang is a fashion designer from Beijing, currently based in New York. She is pursuing her studies at Parsons School of Design and has previously participated in summer programs and exchange semesters at Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion. Ruoxi’s work is deeply rooted in her reflections on contemporary social structures, collective spiritual pursuits, and class disparities. Drawing inspiration from utopian and dystopian narratives in speculative fiction and film, she envisions her own version of a future world.

Her design practice delves into the exploration of human spiritual awakening and the intricate interplay between the universe and fate. Through her unique approach, Ruoxi crafts original totems and merges diverse materials to create a distinctive design language. Her work often features leather, metal, crystals, combining with 3D printing and laser cutting techniques, exploring the integration of sustainable technologies and traditional craftsmanship.

Ruoxi is particularly drawn to sculptural silhouettes that highlight the dynamic connection between the human body and the flow of energy. Beyond fashion design, her artistic vision extends into interdisciplinary practices, including painting and virtual fashion creation, allowing her to push the boundaries of storytelling through various mediums.
