"Koncreteto Silc"
Koncrete to Silc is a thesis collection that explores how the visual language ofstreetwear can be reinterpreted through the techniques and discipline of hautecouture. The collection bridges these two traditionally opposing worlds bycombining bold, oversized silhouettes inspired by street style with preciseconstruction methods rooted in couture. Drawing from personal experience, where what I wear and what I design often differ, the work investigates themes ofduality, identity, and contrast. Puffer jackets, utilitarian elements, andgraffiti-inspired surfaces are reimagined using refined tailoring, sculpturalstructure, and surface experimentation.
The goal is not to blend streetwear andcouture seamlessly but to let their tensions remain visible, creating garments thatreflect complexity rather than resolution. Through this process, I aim to challengeestablished fashion hierarchies and propose a new visual and emotionallanguage. One that holds power, vulnerability, rebellion, and elegance in thesame space. This collection is a search for self through contrast and construction.
