Soomin Oh

Soomin Oh is a Seoul-born fashion designer currently based in New York. With a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and emotional storytelling, her work delicately explores themes of femininity and restraint.

Her thesis collection Love of Romantic Ideals, created in collaboration with designer Chai Lim, draws inspiration from Romanticism and upholstery. The collection visualizes the contradictions of love—its tenderness and obsession—through sculptural silhouettes, corsetry, and emotionally charged surface treatments. Through this work, she explores how emotional complexity can be translated into tactile form and wearable art.
