cityrat

Cityrat is a collection rooted in my lived experience — a culmination of four years immersed in the textures, contradictions, and rhythms of New York City. It’s both a love letter and a personal archive, capturing the city’s landscape through the lens of overlooked and disregarded details.
This collection draws inspiration from the rawness of the urban landscape: tangled cables, weathered tarps slung across scaffoldings and construction sites. It’s about identifying the accidental elegance in these moments of unintentional design, shaped by necessity, not aesthetics.
Cityrat aims to translate this visual language into form and function, because as much as these pieces are inspired by the city, they are also made for it.
Exposed seams run through each design, acting as both a construction detail and a conceptual thread — a signature characteristic that encapsulates the city’s rugged and unpolished identity.

Bio

I am a New York City based fashion product designer who focuses on leather goods. My process begins with the material: its feel, its behavior, its imperfections—and from there, I build pieces that are meant to be used, thrown on and worn. They’re practical, yes, but they also tell a story through form and detail.

My work explores the balance between practicality and form, aiming to create pieces that are both functional and sculptural. Each design is rooted in craftsmanship, built to last, and shaped by passion and detail.
