My thesis explores the healing power of lavender through delicate, hand-embroidered fashion objects. Inspired by the soothing aroma and symbolic meanings of lavender, my collection translates this sense of tranquility into visual and tactile experiences. Using soft organza fabrics layered with intricate embroidery, I create ethereal fashion products—bags, scarf, collar, and choker—that embody the poetic textures and quiet strength of nature.
Growing up, lavender became a symbol that resonates deeply with me, as my Chinese name includes the character for lavender, with the full meaning being “Asia lavender.” Its soothing power has always brought me comfort and relief from stress. This linguistic and personal connection inspires me to convey a similar sense of calm and healing through embroidery, a craft I am passionate about. By incorporating lavender motifs into my designs, I aim to create a collection of products that visually engage viewers while offering a sensory experience that promotes healing, tranquility, and emotional connection.
