Materiality
Video: HOW DO I LET GO MAKE ?

I AIM TO FIND A SPACE WHERE MY WORK HAS ITS OWN AUTONOMY, WHERE I CAN FREE MYSELF FROM THE RULES, STRUCTURES, AND PREDETERMINED OUTCOMES I BUILD. WITH A STRONG LOVE OF COLOUR, LINE, AND FORM, I AM CREATING A COLLECTION THAT PAYS HOMAGE TO GRID, PATTERN, COLOUR + REPETITION.

THE WORK IS CENTERED AROUND MEDITATIVE TEXTILE CREATION THAT ALLOWS ME TO FIND FREEDOM IN REPETITION, DEPARTING FROM CONTROLLED PERFECTION, AND WORKING WITH UNCONVENTIONAL MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUES TO CONVEY MATERIAL AUTONOMY.

MY COLLECTION SATISFIES WHAT PERFECTION CANNOT.

Bio

Backed by a strong foundation in colour, line, and composition, my creative practice is rooted in crafting work that communicates rich, layered visual narratives—stories that are deeply intertwined with textile traditions and my evolving sense of belonging. I am drawn to the tactile and emotional nature of fabric, using it as both medium and metaphor to explore identity, memory, and place.

My multidisciplinary approach weaves together textile art, fashion design, illustration, and photography. These mediums intersect to form a cohesive language that reflects my journey of self-discovery. Each piece I create is an exploration—of heritage, of form, and of the spaces I inhabit, both internal and external.

Ultimately, my work exists as a visual archive of personal and cultural expression—an ongoing conversation between the handmade and the conceptual, the body and the garment, the seen and the felt.
