This project explores the contrast between the old and the new in Beijing, creating traditional jewelry through innovative methods and craftsmanship. By reimagining techniques like tongue-and-groove in jewelry design, it breathes new life into tradition, adapting it for today’s fast-paced lifestyle. Making the pieces more modular invites creativity and interaction from the wearer, offering both versatility and personal expression. It’s an elegant approach that not only honors heritage but also promotes sustainability.
