Patrick McNulty

Thank You

I would like to thank my classmates for opening up their hearts to hear my story all year long, my professors for pushing me to put forth my best work, and my parents for being the back bone of my bravery all of my life. Lastly, my two roommates, Ruby and Aurora, for being my dream team to help all of my crazy and spur-of-the-moment ideas become not only a reality, but something I am truly proud of. I could not have done any of this without you.

Bio

Patrick McNulty is a queer fashion designer and 2025 graduate of Parsons School of Design. Rooted in rural America and shaped by 17 years within the Catholic Church, his work explores the intersections of identity, religion, and resistance. Through a design practice centered on storytelling, drag, and system-level critique, Patrick creates garments that serve as vessels for healing and visibility. His senior thesis, Altar Ego, reclaims religious iconography to affirm queer existence in the face of societal erasure. Amid rising political attacks on LGBTQ+ communities, Patrick uses fashion as a tool for survival, self-authorship, and transformation. His vision is a call to witness, honor, and protect queer existence.
